杭州韩美林艺术馆简介
坐落在世界文化名城杭州西湖边植物园腹地的韩美林艺术馆，是一处与著名艺术家韩美林先生相关的集收藏、展览、研究、公共教育与对外交流于一体的艺术空间。
韩美林先生与浙江杭州素有情缘，因为母亲是绍兴人，他的血脉中遗留着吴越文化的基因。尤其是在他生命的危难时刻，有一个杭州女子无怨无悔、矢志不渝地陪伴在他的身边，用柔弱的身躯与他并肩扛起了他生命中沉重的十字架。这位美丽、深厚的女子最后成了他的妻子，他也因此更深刻地感受到杭州的美丽与深厚，从此与杭州有了不解的缘分。
于是，韩美林先生有了将几十年来潜心创作的1000件艺术作品捐献给了杭州市的初衷。为收藏、陈列韩美林先生的艺术作品，杭州市人民政府特地在毗邻西湖的杭州植物园腹地兴建了第一座韩美林艺术馆，以期将韩美林先生璀璨灵动的艺术融入西湖文化的筋脉，给这座历史文化名城增添新的神韵，并将韩美林先生的艺术精神不断地发扬光大。
2005年10月19日，杭州韩美林艺术馆落成并对外开放，成为了杭州文化发展中不可或缺的艺术亮点。2011年，杭州韩美林艺术馆完成二期扩建，艺术馆日益成为杭州的一处文化地标和艺术高地。2019年，在艺术馆三期开馆之际，韩美林先生再次捐赠500件艺术作品，充分彰显了他对杭州这座城市的深厚情愫，体现了艺术家的无私大爱。
2008年6月25日，在京杭大运河的另一端，北京韩美林艺术馆落成。2015年12月21日 “银川韩美林艺术馆” 在宁夏银川贺兰山正式开馆。2019年12月21日，“韩美林紫砂艺术馆”在宜兴隆重举行开馆仪式。这是继杭州馆、北京馆、银川馆三座综合性展馆之后，落成的第一座韩美林专题艺术馆。至此，韩美林艺术馆正式开启“3+1”的新格局，即：三座综合馆+一座专题馆，从此一个韩美林，有了四地艺术馆。
杭州韩美林艺术馆三期扩建工程于2019年竣工并重新对外开放。扩建后的全馆总建筑面积约6500平方米，总用地面积约11000平方米，已形成集展示、互动、休闲等多功能于一体的空间布局。除了在硬件设施上精益求精、与时俱进，杭州韩美林艺术馆还坚持人才兴馆的理念，通过积极开展岗位培训，加强人才教育，建设了一支有力的人才队伍。并在人才建设的基础上完成了新的组织构架，形成了以宣传讲解、展览策划、学术研究、建设管理为一体的部门构建。
扩建后的杭州韩美林艺术馆共设7个展厅，包括足迹、雕塑厅、公教厅、绘画厅、工艺厅、综合艺术厅、学术研究厅，展品2000余件，全面系统地展示了韩美林先生的艺术成就及多方面的艺术才华和无限的创造力。观众可以免费在这里欣赏到他所涉猎的丰富的艺术门类和众多的艺术作品，感受韩美林先生对杭州的那份执着与深厚。杭州韩美林艺术馆为游客们提供了更加广阔的艺术空间和更加丰富的文化资源，打造了一座更加精美辉煌的艺术殿堂。
General Introduction to Hangzhou Han Meilin Art Gallery
In 2005, Mr. Han Meilin donated 1,000 of hisworks to Hangzhou which has always been dear to his heart. To house and exhibit this art, the People’s Government of Hangzhou built the Hangzhou Han Meilin Art Gallery within Hangzhou Botanical Garden beside West Lake. It is hoped that this art gallery will integrate Mr. Han Meilin’s splendid art into the culture of West Lake, add new charm to the renowned historic and cultural city and continuously spread Mr. Han Meilin’s artistic spirit. This exquisite and classical art gallery and the one which stands in Beijing (opened June 25, 2008 in Tongzhou District of Beijing) have become especially beautiful scenes at both ends of the ancient Grand Canal.
The whole art gallery is composed of the Archives, Sculpture Hall, Arts and Crafts Hall, General Hall and Book Bar. The exhibitions display Mr. Han Meilin’s exceptional achievements in various artistic areas. In the Archive, we show Mr. Han’s hard life full of trials and his effort in persistently pursuing his art. There are sketches of his creations and some of his published books, as well as pictures of his large urban sculptures throughout China and around the world. The Book Bar is a good place to relax and read at leisure and ponder over and discuss art.
The second phase of Hangzhou Art Gallery’s extension project is currently under the way and will add another 498 square meters of building area. The newly-added exhibition hall on the first floor will be connected with the original sculpture hall and enrich and improve the sculpture artworks display. The new hall on the second floor is used to exhibit Jun porcelain and bocarro teapots. The third floor will serve as a temporary exhibition hall which will greatly improve the comprehensive function of this art gallery and provide facilities for varied exhibitions and activities in the future. During the second phrase of the extension project, a visit-guiding system and other advanced equipment will be added to make the ethos o the art gallery much clearer.
Hangzhou Han Meilin Art Gallery is rooted in the regional culture of Zhejiang province as well as in the enchanting gentility and beautiful scenery of West Lake. Inferring post-modern art techniques, the structure of the art gallery absorbs the essence of traditional residential buildings in order to reflect Mr. Han Meilin’s artistic ideas.
Deriving from traditional Chinese architect, its interior design combines the creative expression of modern art space, strives to reflect “modern cultural display space” and to present the spirit and beauty of Mr. Han Meilin’s artistic world.
Striving for professional guiding, publicity and management, the entire staff of the gallery is devoted to providing all visitors with the best services. As preservers and disseminators, we hope to sow the seeds of Mr. Han’s art in every corner of our Motherland, and propagate his nobility of character with which he perseveres in seeking beauty even through all kinds of hardships, so that more and more young people can achieve understanding and enlightenment. We also hope to popularize art education, elevate people’s character and promote the development of spiritual and cultural life of the people.
In this verdant “Meilin Garden”, visitors will experience the freedom of the soul, genuine love, profound concepts, boundless and miraculous creation, and the life experience of an all-round artist who has made extraordinary achievements in various art fields - all these are absorbed and represented in Mr. Han’s unique art.
